Masterplan is a German power metal band founded in 2001 by guitarist Roland Grapow and drummer Uli Kusch after their departure from Helloween. Created with the idea of starting a new power metal band for the new millennium, Masterplan quickly gained attention for its strong musicianship and melodic, powerful sound.

The band released its self-titled debut album in 2003, followed by several successful releases and lineup changes over the years. Led by Roland Grapow, Masterplan has remained an important name in the power metal scene, known for its energy, quality songwriting, and experienced musicians.
